Skirball Cultural Center is a Los Angeles cultural institution dedicated to “exploring the connections between 4,000 years of Jewish heritage and the vitality of American democratic ideals.” The fourth and final phase completed the Skirball campus with a cast-in-place concrete 500 car parking structure and the new Guerin Pavilion, Herscher Hall and banquet kitchen. This phase presented exceptionally difficult engineering and construction challenges. The three buildings present as a single unit, but are actually constructed as individual, independently supported but conjoined structures.
