The Ennis House is an historic estate designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in the 1920s for silent film legend Harold Lloyd. The property is a nationally registered historical landmark. The textile block house consists of the main house and a smaller chauffeur’s apartment/garage separated by a paved motor courtyard. This project consisted of interior improvements and seismic upgrades along with shoring and structural improvement work to stabilize the chauffeur’s quarters, motor courtyard and main house.
The project won the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Los Angeles Merit Award, the Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award, and the Los Angeles Architectural Preservation Award.
